Creator Monetization

1. Overview

Drift & Quill provides tools that may allow eligible Creators to monetize Content through features such as volume sales and participation in InkShare.

Monetization is a Platform feature, not a guarantee of income.

2. Eligibility

To monetize, a Creator may be required to:

• meet age and legal-capacity requirements;
• complete identity and tax verification;
• connect an approved payment account;
• satisfy Stripe or other payment-provider requirements;
• provide accurate business and tax information;
• comply with Content rules; and
• remain in good standing.

3. Creator merchant role

For one-time volume sales, the selling Creator is the seller/merchant responsible for the underlying product transaction to the extent stated at checkout and permitted by the payment-provider structure.

Drift & Quill provides Platform technology, hosting, discovery, checkout facilitation, and related services.

The exact merchant-of-record and tax treatment displayed at checkout controls where it differs from a general description in this policy.

4. Creator responsibility

Creators are responsible for:

• Content rights;
• product descriptions;
• pricing;
• taxes;
• customer support related to their Content;
• legally required refunds;
• chargebacks and reversals allocated to their sales;
• payment-provider requirements; and
• compliance with applicable laws.

5. Platform fees

Any Platform fee or revenue share will be disclosed in the applicable Creator dashboard, product flow, or separate Creator agreement.

Unless a different written agreement applies, Drift & Quill may deduct applicable Platform fees, payment-provider charges, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, taxes, reserves, and other amounts permitted by the applicable payment structure before calculating a Creator payout.

6. Payouts

Payouts are subject to:

• payment-provider availability;
• verification;
• fraud and risk review;
• chargeback and refund windows;
• minimum payout thresholds;
• account status;
• legal requirements; and
• available funds.

A displayed balance is not necessarily immediately withdrawable.

Drift & Quill may delay or hold funds where reasonably necessary to protect Users, comply with law, investigate fraud, resolve disputes, or satisfy payment-provider requirements.

7. Reserves and offsets

To the maximum extent permitted by law and applicable payment-provider rules, Drift & Quill may establish reasonable reserves or offset amounts owed by a Creator against future amounts payable to that Creator, including amounts arising from:

• refunds;
• chargebacks;
• reversals;
• payment disputes;
• fraudulent transactions;
• duplicate payments;
• taxes or withholding;
• fees; or
• other amounts properly owed to Drift & Quill.

8. No income guarantee

Drift & Quill does not guarantee:

• sales;
• subscribers;
• readers;
• rankings;
• recommendations;
• traffic;
• payout amounts; or
• continued availability of monetization.

9. Changes

We may modify monetization programs, eligibility, fees, allocation formulas, payout schedules, or features.

Where a change materially affects an existing paid program, we will provide notice where required or reasonably practical.
